4 Stars Great Game…
I picked this game up because I was looking for something that both me and my little one could play together. The coop mode is great…you can have 2 people on the same screen…saving the city. It is borderline on the T rating. I would say it is a T rating leaning towards E for everyone.
It isn’t hard to learn…you just pop it in and go. Graphics are pretty good!
If you are looking for a game that you and the kids would like to play at the same time…this is it! Entertaining enough for adults…and tame enough for children.
5 Stars Nightwing “ROCKS”!!!! Thank you.
this game kicks every BatMan game before it in the teeth and anyone who says otherwise is on something!
this has been a speacial report, for those about to “ROCK”!thank you.
5 Stars Rise of The Dark Knight
This is a Basic Beat-em up game, but the graphics are unbelievable! I have been a big batman fan ever since i saw BATMAN BEGINS in the movie theatres. Excellent movie. i also have loved the old cartoon: THE ADVENTURES OF BATMAN AND ROBIN. My Favorite character has always been Robin. Anyway, this is a must have game for any console besides PS2. { The worst in my opinion. the graphics are like paper plates!} I especially like that the levels are longer, and i like to fight a lot, so this game is good. I can’t wait to get it for Gamecube.
2 Stars Rise of Rinse and Repeat
Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu, for the XBox is a Beatem-up game. You can choose from four different characters: Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl. Regardless of who you pick, even though the story unfolds a bit differently, the gameplay mechanics remain the same. You must rescue hostages before time runs out. And the way to rescue hostages is to beat-up the bad guys. You are awarded points for making combo attacks. Then at the end of the levels you can purchase (or learn new combo attacks). Punch, kick and then slam the bad guys to the ground. This is basically all you do! Over and Over! Being a fan of the Batman animated series, I do have to give it points for beautiful graphics, which looks like the cartoon. The sound effects are also good! and best of all, they used the same voice-actors from the cartoon. This however, is not enough to save a mediocre game.
Pros:
+looks like the cartoon
+good sound effects
+good controls
+voice actors from the cartoon
+lots of unluckable goodies
Cons:
-time based missions
-linear gameplay
-enemies cheat
-repetative gameplay
-start levels over when you die
-A.I. is dumb as a rock
-feels like a PSONE powered game
-rinse and repeat

3 Stars Looks better then the gameplay
Unfortunately, this sequel to the Playstation’s Crash Team Racing was a flop.
You play as Team Bandicoot (The Good Guys) or Team Cortex (The Bad Guys)in this very poor excuse for a racing game. Come on, everyone knows that when you think of kart racing your thinking of Mario Kart; so did the people at Vicarius Visions, Universal Interactive, and Vivendi Universal.(Those dudes who made that terrible Buffy game)
Audio- Nice,in game Dolby Digital A+
Visuals- Very sleek and and cartoony, perfect for a game like this. A+
Gameplay- Well, from the images and the and the great audio you would think this game would have great gameplay, well I’m sorry to dissapoint you but you WON’T be impressed. First there’s the one player mode, which is an “Adventure” where you’ll have to complete tedious challenges and race the AI. You have the choice to choose which character to use in each challenge or race, but they all prety much drive the same no matter what the manual says. Racing the AI players is just to easy, mainly because they don’t really give up much of a fight. Then all of a sudden it’s like the game kicked in to EXTRA HARD mode and the AI players are just zipping by. Very annoying. You do have a choice of of weapons, but they don’t really seem to prevent you from winning. Or if your not into the “Adventure” (Wouldn’t Blame You) then theres the multiplayer. There you can chosse between battle or racing other players. The battles are fun, buttle get boring FAST. The Multipalyer racing can be entertaining if your NOT racing. F
OVERALL – D+
4 Stars Super Mario 64 Meets Nascar
I’m a big fan of racing games, and got this one for my birthday (which, as I’ve said before, is a GREAT value).
This game has a storyline, but here you go–If you don’t care about the storyline, it doesn’t really matter that much. Just go racing!
If you do care about the storyline, you are supposed to try and escape from the evil alien (close enough) To do this, you need to win enough races to qualify to race his champions. This is where you meet Super Mario 64. In simplest terms there is a world that you drive around in which connects all of the race tracks together. You have to win at certain ranking levels before you can progress on to new tracks. There are also challenging, hard-to-get-to areas that require you to learn the car’s special moves.
This pays off though, because then you know how to use them in the races, and you win more often. In the races, you get better at the moves, which in turn helps you get to more hard spots in the world map.
*****Final Thoughts*****
This is a fun game for up to four players. The basic controls are easy to learn, and the advanced controls are relatively easy to learn, but take longer to master. If you like storylines, you’ll love this game. If you don’t, you’ll enjoy the game, but may get frustrated trying to unlock extra tracks and vehicles.
5 Stars best crash game ever
do you like crash, well if you do you should read about this game and see if you like it.My favorite part is that you start off with 8 cars and unlock seven. This game got realistic graphics and if you like cartoon racing games for example Mario Kart Double Dash crash nitro kart might be the game you want but I am not forcing you to get it I am just giving you information about this game, well hope you get a game that you like.
3 Stars Fun Game But Graphic Issues
This game is alot of fun. It is based on the excellent concept of the racing game Re-Volt.
On major problem is that the game is supposed to be in 720i format, which my X-Box and HDTV will support, but when I set my box to that format the game won’t even load. This is a glitch, or the game is just 480i resolution. The graphics are good, but they aren’t in 720i.
4 Stars Excellent
This Game is really fun. If you want a substitute of mario kart for xbox, this game is for you. Graphics and sounds are good. Graphics are much better on the xbox version than the ps2. I don’t know why people say its boring. Personall I never played the CTR, but this game is awesome.

3 Stars Immensely Over Hyped
I remember when this came out and how hyped it was. It was one of the most anticipated games of that year. It was supposed to be the next halo and a next gen game. This game failed to do what it was supposed to do. Maybe if they didn’t hype it up so much it would have been a little more well received but it wasn’t.
The story isn’t much of a story at all really. You go on missions bounty hunting and fighting mercenaries and alien groups. Nothing new or exciting. The characters are really flat. They are all like robots. Nothing substantial about them. Boring characters in a boring story, this game adds up to nothing but a repetitive shooter. And the most disappointing thing about is that it could have actually been good. If they had better characters and a better story the game could have been interesting. The bad guys aren’t all that bad nor are the planets, but it fails miserably.
Before it came out it was supposed to have amazing innovative next gen graphics but they turned out to be nothing special. They are kind of blurry and bland most of the time. Halo, which came out 3 years before has much better graphics.
In the end its completely forgettable and you wont be satisfied after you beat it.
1 Star Poor Excuse For a FPS.No Where Near Halo.
This so-called halo-killer was sad in comparison. Lame graphics, pathetic story, & characters no one cared about. Worst game Ever.
5 Stars Fun Strategy
I’ve already played this game through once on easy mode, and it was okay. Basically, I didn’t really use all the manuevers at my command. I all did with it was run and shoot. Now, I’m playing through Brutal Mode, and trying to use complete stategy while playing. Hawks invisibility helps locate where the enemy’s are giving early intel. Brutus allows for seeing further in the darkness or mist, allowing Flint to stand next to him and shoot what he sees. Tex is more of a fall back character for me though, he’s tough, but in Brutal mode, he’s sorta the last resort guy. The ability to place your squad where you want them can become really advantageous. Flint snipes from a high position, while Brutus and Tex surround the opening, and then Hawk lures the enemies into the open. It has really cool graphics, and if played strategically, it can be quite a challenge.
Some things are hard to find though, but once all the enemy have been destroyed, you can generally go back and look for whatever to achieve your secondary objectives.
It can be played as either a shooter game, or a strategy game. Your choice. I love it. Brutal Mode is hard though.
4 Stars Brute Force…ya it’s pretty fun
I decided to buy it after I played this game at my friends once. IF YOU DON’T ALREADY OWN THIS GAME, BUY IT!!!!
UPSIDE: it’s cool when you get the multiplayer characters, there’s a big variety; I like the squad deathmatch where you can command a group of people( not only Brute Force, but other squads like rebels too) into battle and blow the….out of other people. Each person has a unique ability, dual wielding, invisibility, etc. the graphics are really good, and the gameplay is pretty darn good too if you ask me. though it’s really fun when you use cheats, not to beat the game but to have some fun whether before or after game completion.
DOWNSIDE: It’s really fun untill you get to the lava levels, very boring and very hard to beat, not to mention really long(the first one is 6 chapters!).And honestly the multiplayer maps get real boring, real fast. it’s also a pain having to get DNA canisters to unlock characters, some are really hard 2 find, also if you don’t have all the DNA’s in a squad, you can’t play that squad(e.g. in the Feral squad there’s the Feral Outcast, Feral Shaman, and two other feral dudes and unless you unlock all four of them you can’t play their squad!). it can be a pain to find all the things for objectives A.K.A. the suitcases!!! And certain characters can pick up certain weapons, Hawk, the small girl with invisibility, can only pick up a handgun and a medium sized gun!
NOTE:the next paragraph is optional reading.
CHEATS: some cheats i can’t get to work though. create a new profile and type the cheat as it’s name. HVYMTL changes the graphics to an almost 2d state, it’s cool. some cheats you have to beat the game, amd get all the DNA canisters with a non cheat profile, but i just beat the game, without getting ALL the DNA canisters and some of them worked.the wierd part about the cheats is that some of the cheats like VENGAR and GARVEN are sapposed to effect Brutus, one of the main characters, like make him more powerful and change his appearance, but they don’t.
And that’s why i gave it a 4.7/5 but we can round to 5/5. Either way it’s a good game and all of you should buy it.
3 Stars Brute Force is a good game by most standards, but too many flaws make Brute Force seem like a missed opportunity
When I first bought Halo 1 and watched the stunningly amazing trailer for this game, I had long anticipated the release of Brute Force. On release day, I bought this game without hesitation. But I wish I would have waited to read reviews. As I said, this game definately had potential; but it just seems unpolished and definately didn’t live up to the high expectations I had set for this game.
The core gameplay consists of controlling four elite supercommandos, each with their own unique special abilities. Tex is a tough soldier whose specialty is using dual weapons. Brutus, an alien creature, is the toughest soldier and his special ability is thermal vision, which enables him to see enemies in the dark. He also has the ability to charge enemies, which has a fatal effect. Flint is a long-range sniper whose speciality is target-locking. Hawk is a small, but tough soldier who can become invisible and sneak up on enemies and offer a silent, but deadly kill with her powerblade. The squad command system is easy to use and it enables you to instantly switch between soldiers in your squad and also allows you to issue commands to your squadmates. This makes the game seem like it would be tactical like Rainbow Six. But it definately is not; it is much more of a run and gun shooter where you run through the levels shooting at anything that moves.
The graphics in the game are very good and definately get the job done, especially in HD. Each member of your squad is very detailed and definately give them a life-like look. The environments also look good and make each level seem unique and different. The enemies are sort of hit and miss. Sometimes close up they will look stunning; other times they will look blotchy and unpolished. But overall, the visuals are pretty good.
The sound is good, but not great. The weapons sound good for the most part, but they will occasionally sound flat and unrealistic. Explosions and grenades look pretty good, but they sound unconvincing. Overall, the sound gets the job done, but it doesn’t really draw you in like it should.
The value of this game is decent. The single player doesn’t really offer much replayability, but the multiplayer is fun & the Xbox Live action can be exciting. For the bargain price of $10 – $15 that this game sells for, it is probably worth your money; but the game is definately not worth any more than $20.
Now, with all the good things I have mentioned above, you are probably wondering why I gave this game a lower score. For the most part, it is because of the combined overall experience of this game. The storyline is pretty lame and boring, and it doesn’t really pull you into the action. All you will find yourself doing is not even paying attention to the story and simply running through the levels with your guns blazing. And without a good story at the core of a game, it definately brings down the overall experience of it. It also makes the game not very intriguing and it won’t have you running back for more. Also, the missions don’t have a lot of variability and will get repetitive, bringing down what could have been a much better game.
Bottomline: Brute Force is a suitable shooter on most counts, offering exciting action and a very good shooting experience; but with a disappointing storyline and an overall mediocre experience, it simply seems like a missed opportunity.

5 Stars SHENMUE YES!!!!!!!!!
This game is really cool, but I was a little upset because at the end of the game it said TO BE CONTINUED. How sad
4 Stars Shenmue rocks
I personally love this series. I played Shenmue for the dreamcast and enjoyed being able to run around Japan to search for clues. Shenmue 2 starts in Hong Kong. I enjoyed running from place to place getting part time jobs, playing the street gambling games, etc. This game is not just all running around and games but you also get to use your karate to defeat people in your way. But even if you do not want to complete the game there are many side quests and games to play such as arm wrestling. If you do not like games where you have to sit down and think about where to go then I would not recommend this for you. But if you like solving mysteries and beating up the bad guys, I would recommend this game.
The only disappointment is that it looks like Shemnue 3 will never be released.
5 Stars A real sleeper hit
For those of you that havent heard about or played this game, you are seriously missing out, this is the most fun game I have ever played, its got old school controls but the sweeping storyline makes up for the bad camera control, and the amount of detail in each character and place, you can walk through hong kong! Its a martial arts RPG that just screams re-playability. Hell, after the first time i beat it I started a new game right away.
You litteraly fall in love with the beautiful graphics and epic story of a young man that struggles with revenge for the death of his father.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PLAY THE FIRST ONE TO ENJOY SHENMUE 2!!!!!
Just pick this game up and give it a shot, garunteed the first 5 mins will captivate you and rope you in!
5 Stars BEST GAME EVER
BEST GAME EVER AND I WOULD NOT MIND HAVING SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH JOY
4 Stars Great RPG, the only kind I’ll play.
This was a great RPG game. This is the only kind of RPG I can play. I really don’t like most other RPG’s requiring you to learn a new language, fight every other scene, etc. etc. Its like playing Starwars, without any weapons. (I hated all the Starwars movies!)
I do, though, enjoy this type of game though! I love the games that give us a beautiful, well known city as the backdrop (Max Payne, Fear Effect 1 and 2, Spiderman, Shenmue 1 and 2, etc.)with a great mix of gameplay, and exploration. This is my favorite type of RPG style game.
I give this game two gamer thumbs up!!! Awesome!!!
