I like Tony Hawks American Wasteland a lot. I like the goals that you have to complete. They are challenging and fun.You can switch from bike to board easily.I also like the places where they put the ramps.I play this game a lot. The only thing that I do not really like is the goals on level 4, otherwise, the game is really awesome!!!

this game was alright. i’ve been playing tony hawk games since thps2. this game is nothing special, i’d rather play thug1 because that at least has jamie thomas. the only things i thought that were cool is the new spray feature where you can spray the ground, and the few new moves. the new no load screen feature is a joke because you still have to change areas with a loading screen in multi-player. also i didn’t really get into the soundtrack i guess because i have this version. also why didn’t activision keep the create a deck mode the same as thug1 why did they change during thug2? after thug1 the tony hawk games have been going down hill and have had a cliche story mode. all in all this is pretty much a clone of thug2, it’s just a dressed up version of that.

American Wasteland is alright not all that fun but not so bad that no one would buy it. Once you get in to it it’s not that bad but it doesn’t take very long to beat I beat it in one day.

I have owned this game for over one year and i still play it often. The graphics are great and the controls are very easy to learn. The tracks are awsome, and there are tons of different tricks. Being an FMX fan, I especially liked the special X Games level. Overall, this game is good all around and is definetily worth it to buy.

I have never played this game, however, I am a quaified video game psychic. For over 24.5 years, I have been reviewing games up to 36 months prior to their release. I have been there shouting the praises of Frogger, six months before it sweept the nation on Atari. Come on, a frog crossing the street? Who else had the balls to call that one. I was the foremost voice in the premature celebration of the release of Goldeneye. From all accounts that I can find, I said it was going to be a hit three years before it was made. I normally charge 72.50 per early review, but I am giving you this nugget for free. Buy this game if you have to sell yourself on the corner. IT IS THAT GREAT.

MTX Mototrax is the worst racing game of all time.First of all, the controls are not all that great.I really don’t like the gameplay at all.I can’t say too much about the xbox live on there.Everytime the host has to change the tracks he has to exit the room and start a new room.There is no lobby you race around until the game starts.I’m going to try to get my money back cause this game sure wasn’t worth it.

Gave this as a gift and the kids still play them all the time. Im not a huge console game fan (I’m more of a PC FPS player) but my nephews love these and said to rate them four stars! I gave them the whole LOTR set along with the Hobbit.

I ove being able to choose different characters and have special attacks. It challenging and fun. The controls are simple and the graphics are as good as one could expect. I really liked the cutscenes that were actually part of the movies.

this game (…) rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you can play it 3 times since you can take each character through the boards if you wish.the characters are the elf,dwarf and strider from the movie.as you advance levels you can get points for how effectively you killed the monsters.then you buy cool moves after each mission.an example move might be like “from a lying posistion spring up,swing hitting everyone in range then drive your sword into one guys guts killing him.”its so cool!on some boards there are literaly hundreds of monsters coming after you.so all in all its like if someone took d and d,made mortal kombat like fighters with the characters then through them in to a star wars battlefront like situation.its totaly cool and definarely within the top 5 maybe 3 games ever invented!

If you are a huge LOTRs fan and will buy anything that has lord of the rings written on it then you should buy this especially if you like video games. I first bought this when I went on a shopping spree for Xbox games, and I thought, I like the books, movies, why not? It blew me away. (However, if you hated the movies go somewhere else because this game is based on the movies). You can play as either Aragorn, Legolas, or Gimli. There is a also a bonus level where you play as a bonus character, I haven’t beaten the game yet so I don’t know who it is. Now this is a cool game but it can get a little tough at parts because you get surrounded by orks, the only other thing that irked me about this game was that you really can’t explore, if you go off the path you just run in place. And you really want to explore too because there is great graphics. Does anyone know who the bonus character is? I’m thinking it might be either Frodo or Gandalf. Have you ever been playing a game and the voices of the characters are really high pitched or just plain crappy? Well don’t worry, they got the actors from the film for the voices, really cool. Plus as you go along as you beat levels they unlock interviews with the actors and makers of the game. Great game, except for a few things this is awesome, if you like LOTRs buy it.

This is just plain fun! It’s one of the few XBox titles that is made for any age, and not complicated to learn and enjoy.

Graphics are good, as are the tunes. If you score high enough, you will unlock new outfits for your performers and advance to new venues with songs increasing in difficulty.

I recommend checking out the tutorial before you try performing, as your performances are rated by the crowd and will determine your advancement through the game. Start on the easiest level until you get your confidence up! Note that if you are using the microphone, you need to have it close to your mouth to register on the game. I have had this game for a while now and I must say it is the best game I have bought for the XBOX. I play it way more than ony other game by far and that’s because anytime we have any friends over, we play it. Even those who say the will NEVER sing and play it eventually do and when they sing, they are hooked (even if they can’t carry a tune). If you have kids that can read, then they will have a blast with this too. Hours of fun that doesn’t get old until you’ve sang every song 10 times over. Then you go out and buy another volume with all new songs.

This game is simple yet fun, complicated, socail at the same time. The first time I played this game ws at my friends house, we would play for hours nonstop. The entire reason I ordered this game was so I could play Hydro Thunder [and with it I'm very impressed. I remember playing HT in arcades in the 90's, and it has been faithfully recreated for my xbox [even if the 8 year old graphics haven't aged well]. Besides Hydro Thunder, the other two games on the disc that I really enjoy are Super Offroad and RUSH 2049.

**DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CUTTING EDGE GRAPHICS OR FEATURES!!!!** This is really more for gamers craving something nostalgic.

Avoid this hemorrhoid. You gotta have a serious need for a nostalgia-fix to enjoy this game… There are only 2 mildly fun games in this collection; One is a 4×4 trucks racer that has all kinds of jumps and stuff,(but it’s out-dated and lame compared to all the decent stuff available for your xbox like Burnout 3 & 4 and Midnight Club 3 dub edition remix and good old Rally Sport Challenge 2), and there is a boat racer here that is sort of okay also, but these 2 games don’t make it worth while. The graphics suck throughout, trust me… A couple of those old school racers where you are looking down on a track trying to steer little cars around are here. Always HATED those… This disc is only for engineering students researching a term paper on video game history or something, not for playing… I wish I had read this review before I bought it.

4 Stars Midway’s Need For Speed
There is so much within the classic video games these days. Nevertheless, it really isn’t a bad thing, but it still remains a whole lot of fun. Midway has been pushing those classics to the bone recently with a P.C. version offf their original Midway Arcade Treasures series. Although it might not be much for those who feel the nedd to be fast and furious in the world of racing games. Yet, with games like Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Mario Kart DS for Nintendo’s DS out, there are just some Xbox fanatics that just want it to really let loose from the past. Now, that opportunity is here for all.

Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for the Xbox, is a compilation of 8 outrageous game from the past, all in one convient package. The games are each ranged from classics like Badlands and the original 3-D racer Race Drivin’, to classics that just push the fierceness of extreme racing to the limits like San Francisco Rush: The Rock Alcatraz Edition, and the wild watercraft race Hydro Thunder. Each game is very unique in the controls, and is very simple to pickup. The graphics and sound also have been restored very well for die hard racers who’ve played some of these greats like the futuristic San Francisco Rush 2049, and they look great. Althogh they may not remain definitive for people who’ve grown up with racing greats like Gran Turismo or Project Gotham Challenge, but they are just all fun rolled into one convient package.

Midway Arcade Trasures 3 for the Xbox is a great buy for die hard racers, nostalgic buffs, or for anybody who hasn’t even played these true racing gems. I like it because there are so many great racing greats here, and they are all just fun to ride.

2 Stars Nostalgia Seekers Only
Back when these games were popular, people like me were very picky about arcade-to-home conversions. A good one was hard to come by. Nowadays, there is no excuse for anything but arcade perfect. Here is a quick rundown of each game and how it stacks up to the original:

1. SF Rush – The Rock: Emulated from arcade version. Difficult to control. FPS (frames per second) problems. Overall, not a total disaster.

2. Hydro Thunder: Straight Dreamcast port. Sound and video OK. Textures are low-rent.

3. Super Off-Road: Emulated from arcade. Old game, but a perfect port. Credits set to freeplay, so no infinite nitros.

4. Badlands: Emulated from arcade. Similar to Super Off-Road. Also, a good job.

5. Rush 2049: Dreamcast port. Sound and video OK. A surprisingly good game. I always liked the “wings” button.

6. Race Drivin: Emulated from arcade. Not bad! The best home version of Hard Drivin/Race Drivin available. They even incorporated the clutch. The FPS limiter is off just a bit, but it’s decent enough. Audio isn’t quite there either; sounds like you’re squealing tires too much. The control is good, though I doubt any force feedback wheels will work.

7. STUN Runner: Emulated from the arcade. Obviously not finished. The FPS is all over the place. The sound cuts in and out. Awful.

8. Off Road Thunder: I didn’t play this one in the arcade. Feels like a Dreamcast port though. Sound and video OK. Mildly amusing.

Overall, a weak package. I only bought it for Race Drivin anyway. Modern gamers looking for a good crash ‘em up racing game will want to try Flat Out or Burn Out 3.

5 Stars greatest game EVER!!!
i got this game a couple years ago and played it a lot.its got VERY GOOD music like ‘APM’ and other rock music.its also got the coolest cars ever made and some not made.ive gotton very far on this game,and never had any complaints.it gets a little challenging at some places,but gets easier.i think its the best game EVER made on X-BOX.its also on PSP,but it is called ‘RUSH’.its basically the same thing,but has minor differences.i very reccomend this game for X-Box lovers and Los Angeles lovers.Its pretty cheap at most places so i would buy it today.thank you for reading this.From,Eli.

2 Stars Kind of a dissapointment
I’m a huge fan of the Rush series dating back to San Francisco Rush for N64 to Rush 2049 for the Dreamcast. When I heard about Midway making a new game in the series last year, I was a little excited. Its been a while since there was a Rush game. I then forgot about it while playing my 360. The other day I was in EBgames, and I saw it on the shelf for $9.99. I figure since I’m buying other some other xbox games, I’ll give this one a shot. As soon as I started playing it, I knew that midway sold out. The whole game is basically a NFS Underground or a Midnight Club SR clone, but not nearly as good . The cars handle very slowly and it just doesn’t have that fun feeling that the other rush games had. The graphics are subpar at best. I’m a little spoiled by Xbox 360 graphics, but either way this game could have looked better seeing how it was on Xbox. It was probably a port of the PS2 game or something. Everything is blocky and undetailed. I didn’t play too far into it because I lost interest after driving around the town a bit. Overall, if you’re looking for a true Rush game, go and buy the Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for xbox/ps2 and get the 2049 game and avoid this one. I’d only say get this game if you’re really into the Street Racing games.

I had high hopes for this game but they were ill-placed. The graphics are reallly good but that’s about it. The gameplay is almost boring. It’s not really exciting either to play. The cutscenes are pretty good though, but that’s it. It was pretty much a waste of money. Save your money and get NFSU or something. I do not recommend LA Rush.

1 Star Don’t Buy Anything That Has Skinny Puppy In The Soundtrack
The soundtrack to this game contains Skinny Puppy. This band had a stage show in 2004 where they did a mock assassination of the president and did a mock beheading with people wearing terrorist suits. After they do the beheading they take off their masks and reveal themselves as Bush and Cheney. Please send a message to these videogame companies that you will not buy a product that promotes a band that takes part in this type of behavior.

3 Stars pretty good…but….
First of all your in this huge world. You start out with bad cars and you keep getting bad cars for awile. Which is why the game stinked so bad. Too many crappy cars hardly any sweet ones. You find yourself unlocking truck after truck and crappy cars after car. You cant even change the color of the car. You cant customize it you can only take it to west coast customs and they will “pimp” it. Thats wear they messed up, Instead of paying a fee for them to pimp it you should be able to enter with lots of choices for items to put onto your car. Each item is priced and you buy one item at a time. Being able to customize your pant job would have been cool too. Do not buy this game rent it. You will get very frustrated all the time. It takes the crashing idea from burnout and makes it very frustrating. When your in races you find yourself almost constantly running into cars because of so much traffic.Do not buy this game at any cost. Rent it!! Trust me! They also have stunt events scattered accross the map to unlock things like cars. They can also be very very frustrating.

If you like a racing game or a high speed game this is for you. I don’t actually think anyone will dilike this game because it is the best game ever!!!! I love playing this game every day trying to unloclk quiditch cards, stadiums, brooms, and teams. I think you should buy this game (…). Some matches can go from 5 minutes to an hour, because it depends how fast you git the snitch meter up. You also can do special moves such as the Wronski Feint and Wealsy Wangler. You should ask for this game or your parents should get it for your birthday or something. Hk

5 Stars Best game I probaly own
This game is probably the best game I ever bought. Even though I got the game two years (2005) after it came out(2003) I never get bored of playing it. You can choose difficulty levels by the type of broom. Comet 260-begginer, Nimbus 2000- a little harder, Nimbus 2001- hard, Firebolt-Expert. You also get to play in the Hogwarts cup and the quiditch world cup. Which is ver cool! I don’t know why they didn’t include ireland in the game but it is still good. At the begginging you have to do a 6 challenges and than you can start playing. You can also play in Exibition mode (2 player mode) Which is hard and fun if you are playing against someone who is just as good as you. P.S. I bought the game and didn.t open it yet but researched it and played it at my friends houses so much I know all this. P.S.S It is very cheap right now.

3 Stars Where do I start?
Okay, if you know the basics of Quidditch, I don’t need to explain. To the review:

Graphics:

Definetly the game’s strongest point. The players, the stadiums, everything looks beautiful. I love playing in the Japanese Quidditch stadium, because there’s a big pond with a cool little bridge that just looks wicked. The little movies are fun to watch because everything looks fantastic.

Sound:

Also a strong point, but it really starts getting repetitive when you play your 5th match. Still, it at least sounds pretty acurate.

Gamplay:

THIS is the game’s weakest point. For one, it’s just way too easy to swamp the other team 360 points to nothing. When you’re playing for the World Cup, it can get kinda boring.

Also, the idea of Quidditch seems too simplified. You can’t fly wherever you wish, you don’t have any vertical control…

It’s still pretty fun, and you can get really wraped up in the game and forget it has anyting to do with ‘harry potter’ but it’s almost just a kid game, which kinda ruins it.

The 2-Player match can help this, because if you play with someone who’s just as good as you, then it gets real challenging and real fun.

So, it’s all right for a kid’s game, but rent it before you buy it.

5 Stars Zombie fans will love this game.
I’m not a fan of 1st person shooters but I love zombies so I was willing to overlook the 1st person way the game plays. But once I got used to it I was totally involved in the game. Yes, the same zombies pop up, maybe five in all, but they look great and the feeling of dread is awesome.

The best game ever made? No, of course not. But if you love zombies and gaming then this game is a must have.

This game provides lots of entertainment especially for fans of zombie movies.The graphics are pretty good as is the soundtrack.The game captures the atmoshpere of the old zombie films well. The zombies ai leaves a little to be desired as does the accuracy of the weapons. Aside from that the game is all round good fun but will not provide much of a challenge to serious gamers.

3 Stars zombie blastin fun
Hello, I enjoyed this game it is a pleasant break from the res. evil series, but like alot of movie tie in games this one suffers from a rushed production as well. the head shots were not quite there, and every time more zombies would come out, the game froze for a second letting you know a “surprise ” was coming buuut to adventure in romero’s world was great fun and the quirks did not out weigh the over all fun.( for me) That being said though I reccomend this game to a hardcore fan of the zombie genre if you want a shooter go elsewhere the glitches will drive you crazy.

5 Stars Are you too an online gamer?
Ok for about 6 years, since online gaming was first intoduced to me, the majority of game I buy now support online multiplayer. Id like everyone to know I am a hardcore gamer, and have very extensive knowledge of most games and systems, im 19 and started with SNES back when i was 8 (yes been gaming most my life)

Out of hundreds of titles ive played, and another hundred ive heavily recearched, if you have XBL (xbox live) this is by far the best game ive ever played in my entire life.

The story almost made me cry, it was simply amazing, pure genious. Ive played through multiplayer about 6 times. Missions do tend to get a bit boring though sometimes because most tend to be too easy.

The destructable environments add so much to this game, as if you break a bridge and it falls on someone under it, they will be taking a nice ammount of damage. The sights and sounds are also amazing, to the point where you can get to the point where you can identify by name the skill comming at you by hearing and seeing it, adding something to this game thats rarely found in almost any game out there.

the online community is a bit dead, but what do you expect from a game that been out around 4 years. You will still be able to find a game though, and if you fill up your friends list with dedicated players of this game, you will experiance the full potential of this game.

With over 350 unique skills the possiblites are endless and you will constantly find yourself tweeking and testing all 15 of your arsenals, even a couple years down the line.

I have owned this game about 3 years.

3 Stars Decent / Boring
I’m bored with this game. The graphics are good. The music fits the theme – boring. The gameplay is decent, but boring. The story is slow and boring. Buy this game if you like to be bored.

4 Stars Phantom Dust, the best card game.
I am definitely not a big fan of trading card games. If before I played the game I read that it was a trading card game I would have been put off. The first time I played I thought it was an action game. It is very fun and always have great fun playing the single-player game and especially playing the multi-player game with friends.

2 Stars It’s an ok game
Dont get me wrong this game has nice grapics,and ok music. But the game is slow and the controls are a pain, most of the game is just not what one would expect. Retro 80′s looking people basicly running around and getting lost. Its not an Rpg game like Prince of Persia, Fable, Morrowind, or Baldurs Gate. Which I took it to be by reading the back of the game and the reviews here at Amazon. It is not like Maigc the gathering eather. So Im not sure what it is. I just know that if your an major Rpg gamer you will most likely not like this game.

This game is da shiz-nite son! Ima tell anybody who doesnt have this game right now is missing out on a very cool game. The real reason i bought this game is because it reminds me of dbz style fighting. im a fan of dbz. all and all its grreeaat!!!!!!! buy a copy today ill sleep better knowing u have.

5 Stars A Classic
COD2 is a classic… Who doesn’t have Call of Duty?!?! This was probably the best game on 360 when it came out, and its legacy is continued by COD3. COD3 is great, but you have to try Call of Duty 2. Sure, multiplayer is much better, but the two games ARE different.

COD2 has to become a part of everyone’s game collection.

3 Stars X-Play is right, please stop with the WWII games.
the highest selling Xbox 360 launch title. so what. uses modified Quake3 engine which is used by the more 2nd tier quality games. I’m sick to death of WWII games (and movies for that matter). I wish America would quit resting it’s laurels on it’s WWII victory (which was so long ago that most of the people that fought in it are dead or dying now). If you like to get shot an infinite number of times (many games use this now – GoW, Rainbow Six Vegas, Splinter Cell Double Agent), this game is for you.

really good game but is the same as the normal version excpt it comes with a dvd and is like 10 or 15 bucks more so unless you want the dvd gt the other version

I do have the two copies of this game the REGULAR COD-2 AND COD-2 game of the year. becuase is really good .on single player as on line play but I regret to buy the game of the year version because the extra content on the secong disk is no more than garbage.but the game is shine star for himself even for solo campain or onlne play CALL OF DUTY 2 IS A CLASSIC GAME .

5 Stars cool
This game is very fun. I played the demo and hope to get it soon. The fighting is not gory, or bloody but does have gun fighting and is still realistic to a couple hits killing you, the multiplayer is the usual axis vs allies and is very cool, they even have tournaments online!
