User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great fun and most realistic
If your a realism person or a simulator type person, you will love this game. It pretty tactical with plenty of fire fights. The multiplayer is endless fun. If you like halo or games like that, you may not like this one. After seeing COD4 the graphics are weaker here, but RB6V is still more fun to me.

5 Stars Best tatical shooting made to date
The game play is exciting and more realistic than other tactical shooters. The rendition on XBOX 360 is amazing.

4 Stars Great graphics and simple control makes it fun to play!
Great graphics and simple control makes it fun to play! Great value @ less than $30!

5 Stars Best of the best
This game and GOW are the best games for xbox 360 period. nothing else to say.

5 Stars great game, brought Rainbow Six back to form
I do not think I am telling anyone something they do not know when I say this is a great game, well, put together, good graphics and I got it as a great value at 19.99. It is fun and engaging and well worth playing through. While the multiplayer might not be as refined as everyone might want it is very nice.

Scrapland

Scrapland is 3rd-person action/adventure in a robot city where mysteriuous “deaths” are occuring. The game combines quirky humor and great combat for an incredible science-fiction adventure unlike anything you’ve seen before! You play D-Tritus, a robot who’s just started working as a journalist in the all-robot city of Chimera. Murders are rare in Chimera; the Great Database stores everyone’s design, essentially “resurrecting” them when they’re destroyed. But a serial killer has been deleting the victims’ details before destroying them, and D-Tritus is out to find out who, and why. Fantastic level designs will thrill you as you explore a world inside a world — Chimera is full of surprises and unexpected pleasures Fun multiplayer action as you engage in arena combat to compete in wild races through the city

3 Stars Beautiful, interesting and an original take on the sandbox game
Scrapland

A brilliant little sci-fi sandbox game that falls short on populating the engaging world it has creating with enough things to do.

1 Star Not even for $5.
I got this for $5 brand new. It is not good. The controls are not intuitive at all. Setup is odd. The graphics are fantastic. I read good reviews of this and boy, what a letdown.

4 Stars For $4 you can’t go wrong
This game very well may be the least expensive xbox game known to man. I stuck with this game til the end and found it to be quiet challenging–so much so that I was determined to finish it. Most of the game (& all of the challenge) occurs when you are flying around in your custom-built spaceship. The air to air combats are the crux of the game and quite challenging. The controls took a bit getting used to especially when you have timed races which must be won to move on. This is obviously not the best xbox game ever made. It does have great graphics and the areas are expansive. As other reviews mention, there is a child-like quality to the characters which does distract from the value of the game, but c’mon, for $4 you can’t go wrong!

5 Stars Awsome adventure!
I bought this game thinking it would be little bit less fun. I was wrong! It has a cool story line and awsome graphics. This game will keep you laughing all the way through. If your a gamer you need this game!

1 Star good game if you’re 6
I rented this game cause all the online game sites describe it as “GTA with robots”

It’s more like GTA for little kids. The graphics were ok for like three minutes and then its not impressive anymore. The voice overs were rediculous, I mean its like watching some futuristic sesame street. The gameplay was just pointless. They tried being really imaginative but its just stupid in the end and has no redeeming value. “Take one of my CRRRrrazy bets!! I’m the CRRRrrraZZZY gambler!”

Give me a break.

Dino Crisis 3

Dino Crisis 3 is an intense survival-horror game that takes you to the deepest reaches of space! Murderous dinosaurs await you in the outer limits of space in Dino Crisis 3!

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star 3,2,1… Throw Controller!
Something bad happened during playtesting for this title. To be precise, it seems like nobody was playtesting it. A 3rd person camera flicks maddeningly from one bad location to another, constantly leaving your enemies off-camera, making dodging and aiming (not to mention *crate jumping puzzles!*) a complete and utter joke. No surprise the original Dino Crisis development team had nothing to do with this visually beautiful yet disastrous title (Yes, the spaceship is beautiful).

To say the gameplay is bad would be doing a disservice: it just doesn’t WORK.

A big WT_? for Capcom on this unfinished bow-wow.

3 Stars Great game with major flaws.
Despite the “worst camera in the world” and the frustrating save system I still enjoy this game and I have played it through a few times.

The problem with the game is that the camera system is so frustrating most gamers will quit long before they realize the game has tough battles, great graphics and atmosphere, and a cheesy sci-fi story. Ok, so its not all good news :)

The camera is not the only problem, I felt the save system was a bit difficult to deal with as well. The problem is that you save, then go well into enemy territory, make some progress and withing an inch of your death you finish off a tough mini boss battle only to find there is no where to save. So you have to go back a few rooms. But when you do, a single dino gets a very cheap shot in that was almost impossible to avoid and you die. So you either have to use up one of you expensive saves or do the whole thing over. After that happens a few times you want to throw the controller.

But I still played on. Why? I just really like the games atmosphere, music, and action when the game got it right. The puzzle solving is also quite good since it involve transforming the ship into different formations. Its like playing inside a huge transformer. Very cool.

If you have the patience and skill, the game can be quite rewarding. Just keep in mind it takes at least a few hours to get used to the wonky camera and combat system. I would not pay a lot for the game but as a bargain bin game you might just be surprised. But you may just be frustrated too.

EDIT: I totally agree with the other review here that stated that playing on easy is a good way to lighten the frustration with the game and its a good idea. I have been gaming for 30+ years as well and I always play on the default difficulty but with this game I would highly recommend easy for the first run through.

1 Star Capcom’s first real flop. :(
I have played DC, DC2, and DC3. The first 2 games were great, but DC3 is the worst Capcom title ever. My main reason for this is the horrable camra angles, most of the time you are forced to shoot off screen. Sometimes right in the middle of a fight the CA will change several times head aches are common. To top that off the story line makes no sense at all. This is very disappointing as I am a die hard Capcom fan. I hope that they would remake DC3 for Xbox 360 or PS3 because if they don’t this is a sad ending to the first two great games… all it did was leave most people confused and upset.

3 Stars A sequel that’s not actually a sequel???
I’m still only about half way through this game, but I already know where I stand with it. After the first two games; “Puzzles, low ammo, the occasional dino & more puzzles.” and “No puzzles this time, just run & shoot!” I was hoping we’d get to see a continuation of the storyline from the last game. I mean half of the previous story left so many threads open; I figure a direct sequel’s the only way to go. (so we’ll get to find out exactly which century we’ve actually been running around in???) But no; the new game’s got nothing to do with the previous two, and the storyline seems to be a carbon copy of that dodgy horror flik ‘Event Horizon.’ What Up Wi’ Dat??!? True, the graphics are cool, the video sequences’re interesting and the fancy weapons & jetpacks are as well, but the game control is ridiculous! Whenever the camera angle shifts, the controller direction changes too! I’ve lost count of the times I’ve fallen off ledges & wotnot because I leave one angle & enter another, which immediately reverses my control on me. The angles’re also annoying when you’re shooting stuff off-camera, how do you aim at stuff you can’t see?

1 Star another dinosour crisis
Ok bottom line, worst game ever. nice graphics but blended with boring gameplay, bad mix. Some of the puzzles are fun in their own stupid way.but other than that, this crisis can only be salveged as another whipty ding dong button masher(and thats putting it so mild its funny!)so take this from me steer clear of this abomination because the way this thing plays I wouid dare not to think this game was created and made in the prehistoric days!!!!!!!!

Bioshock Limited Edition

BioShock is the “genetically enhanced” first person shooter that lets you do things never before possible in the genre: turn everything into a weapon, biologically mod your body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade your weapons and craft new ammo variants, and experiment with different battle techniques. You are a cast-away in Rapture, an underwater Utopia torn apart by civil war. Caught between powerful forces, and hunted down by genetically modified splicers and deadly security systems, you have to come to grips with a deadly, mysterious world filled with powerful technology and fascinating characters. No encounter ever plays out the same, and no two gamers will play the game the same way.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Incredible!
Great graphics and concept! This game is so much fun… I’ve found it hard to stop playing! I’ve already played it from beginning to end twice!

5 Stars What lies at the bottom of the sea?
Bioshock – Circa 2007

GOOD:

- Beautiful graphics with a very unique art style.

- Unique and original story that is mature, in not only the great story telling way but the bloody and violent way (think Edgar Allen Poe meets Rob Zombie or Gattaca meets Saw), To make a long story short this game is not meant for kids (also note this game has some foul words).

- Use genetic powers to great effect like shooting a hive of hornets from your arm or freeze/burn people and objects or even trick enemies with life like decoys. Also get several different types of not only guns (like the Tommy Gun, Shot Gun, Grenade Thrower and Chemical Thrower) but also different types of ammo (like Armor Piercing, Explosive Shot, Freeze Shot and Electric Shot).

- Interact with the environment; electrocute water (and the people standing in it), use telekinesis to throw and move objects (even throw a rocket back at its shooter, this effect works very much like the Gravity Gun in Half-Life 2), set up booby traps like electric trip wires, land minds, as well as spring pads.

- Great A.I. that not only can really fight back and set up tactics (like flanking and covering) but also stalk the player to sneak up and try to kill the player. Also note that the enemies will not always try to kill you but sometimes try to kill each other, seeing as there are many groups that are at war with each other in this game. Another noted effect is that the enemies will flee when losing a fight and go to an ammo/health pick-up machine in order to even their odds (you can also ahead of time booby trap said machines).

- Great and realistic sounds effect, which really help drive mood as well as theme, also note that the music ranges from period pieces that drive the games theme (like Papa loves Mambo, and Unforgettable) and mood pieces that help establish the horror/action atmosphere of the game.

- Top notch voice acting that really drive home the games story, setting, era, and mood, note that some voice-overs are not only passionate and memorable but will creepy you out.

BAD:

- Some might feel that the endings (one good and one bad) are a lack-luster compared to the rest of the game.

- System hacking mini game (which plays like the old game Pipe Dream on Game boy) might get old/annoying after a while.

- Game is fairly linear, which will make replays of this game less enjoyable to some players.

IF IT FITS YOUR TASTE:

- A unique style which is a mix of Art Deco, industrial, and something all its own.

- The game takes place in 1960 but a Sci-Fi theme runs through out, with things like flying robots and underwater cities. It should be noted that nothing here feels out of place and tacked on (think something like the movies Dark City or Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow).

- Most of this games story comes in the form of spoken dialog from either audiotapes you pick up and listen to or people who talk to you over your short-range radio, this is how most of this games story is played out and told, although you can skip the audiotapes if you want, but you will also be skipping most of the story (the story brings to mind books like The Shining and 1984).

- Fight characters called “Big Daddies”/”Mr. Bubbles” who are huge monstrous creatures that look like they got on heavily armored diving suites from the 1930’s; these guys/things are tough and will take all your power and skill to defeat (think the Nemesis from Resident Evil 3). After you beat them you get either kill or save another creature called the “little sisters” which are these 5 year old looking little girls, it should be noted that these “little sisters” are filled with a power source (a genetic material called ADAM) that your character needs to level up.

- Switching between plasmids or weapons on the fly can be a bit frustrating in combat unless you hold down the Left/Right bumpers (think of theses like the Xbox 360’s versions of R1 and L1), doing this will pause the game and left you pick your weapon and plasmid.

GAME ITS MOST ASSOCATED TOO:

- System Shock (PC)

- Fallout (PC)

- Condemned: Criminal Origins (360)

- Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (PC, 360, PS3)

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

- There is a demo out for this game on Xbox Live Marketplace.

- In the limited collector’s edition you get a “Big Daddy” figure (they are one of the more noted characters of the game, who look like they wear those old time diving suites) you will also find a DVD that has videos with the “the Making of Bioshock” documentaries and it even comes with Soundtrack.

- Originally the “little sisters” characters were supposes to be a type of sea slug, but it was change to look like a little girl so the player (you) would have a conflicting emotion about if you should kill them (the “little sisters”) and take their power or let them go and not get much power.

- The books and ideas that inspired the story of this game came from the novelist and philosopher Ayn Rand.

- This game is also on the PC.

5 Stars Its supposed to be 69.99
I’ve never been so emersed in a game. It’s taken so long to find a good distraction that actually stimulates emotions of fear and isolation.

I spent 10$ (69.99) more than the standard edition for this at a Gamestop, rather then the 130$ that it costs to buy from the merchants here.

The figure is well detailed and heavy, but people should be aware that the soundtrack is more of a cd single with 3 tracks.

Great game.

5 Stars Extremely good game
This game is extremely good, and every good thing that has been said about it holds true. I showed this game to my mother one day when she stopped by, and she asked me, “What movie, er, game is this again?” The graphics are that good. Control is smooth and fluid, you can move and aim easily. The controls for combat are also very intuitive and take little time to get accustomed to. The amount of detail put into this game is absolutely incredible. I’m playing through it for the third time, and I’m still finding things and triggereing events that I missed the first two times. It’s simply amazing, literally the first game I have ever just casually walked through, just to examine all my surroundings.

Also, my fiancee has just started playing this game, and she loves it. She was also able to get pretty far in before stopping for the day, without my help. That goes to show how easily this game can be picked up and played, as she is NOT a serious gamer and frequently gets lost playing Halo, lol. (sorry love!). IF you have an Xbox 360 and a love of FPS action/horror games, this one’s for you.

However, it’s tragic to see the price gouging going on with the Special Editions. It’s really not worth 70 extra dollars just to get a 6 inch tall Big Daddy figurine and a few videos about how they (the game dev’s.) decided what…

5 Stars dazzling
If you have a penchant for blasting targets to smithereens, but still have enough of a heart to appreciate a beautiful storyline, and the need to make choices between right and wrong, then this is the game for you

Spongebob Squarepants The Battle For Bikini Bottom

SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom, you’ll put your platform-gaming skills to the test, as you stop the evil Plankton from causing global mayhem!

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Fun for the Adults Too!
I rented this game over and over one summer, and would play for hours! It’s just the kind of mindless fun I love in a video game (reminiscent of Super Mario Brothers). Now that I have my own XBox, this was the first game I wanted to buy!

4 Stars Fun. But Boring
I thought the game was fun but it wasn’t that exciting. The chalenges were so easy like you beat a challenge just by going into the closet and you beat one just by jumping 6-10 times!!! So to any 1 about to by this be warned as loads of it is kinda boring except when you battle the giant robots

5 Stars Best of the best of Spongebob
Battle for Bikini bottom might be old,but I love it.My favorite areas are the dreams in the middle of the game and you can go from Spongebob’s dream to either Patrick’s,Sandy’s,Mr.Krabs,or Squidward.2 years ago I was new to the game.I did Squidward’s dream and it took me a couple hours to beat.Same thing happened with Sandy’s dream,Mr.Krabs,I can’t beat,I don’t own this game but soon I will.I totally recommend this game.

5 Stars okay
very good. The ONLY xbox game i like.

Amy, age 10

4 Stars F-U-N and challenging
Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom is a fun/hard game to play. I suggest that this should be a rating of E 10+ because the levels get harder, and harder as you go. If your child is around 7 or under, he/she will probably have a hard time. This game takes awhile, and the levels are long with fun/difficult challenges.

Overall, it’s fun, the character’s voices are the same (Yeah, I agree, Mr.Krab’s voice didn’t sound like himself like in the real seris) and great graphics.
