Order Now: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person tactical shooter and the sixth entry in the popular Call of Duty series. True to its name and following the lead of its predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it places players in modern combat settings, as opposed to the WWII environments of the earlier Call of Duty games. This modern approach brings with it new weapons, action and options. Coupled with a variety of gameplay modes including single player, multiplayer and the co-op Special Ops Mode, it is destined to be one of the most popular games of 2009 and a worthy addition to the Call of Duty series.

Story
The storyline of Modern Warfare 2 picks up where the events of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare left off. The ultranationalist Russian leader Zakhaev has been eliminated, but it seems that his lieutenant, Vladimir Makarov, is an even bigger danger. Having made a successful play for power, Intel indicates that he is extending the reach of his influence well beyond the borders of Mother Russia, causing a stir in the international community and prompting the involvement of Task Force 141. Task Force 141 is an elite multinational unit made up of Navy Seals, Delta Force operatives, British SAS and CIA. In the single player campaign you are Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson, with the hero of Call of Duty 4, “Soap” MacTavish, promoted to Captain, making an appearance as an NPC (non-player character) and your commanding officer. The elimination of Makarov and his underlings at any cost is your number one priority, regardless where the fight occurs.
Gameplay
The latest release in arguably the most successful tactical first-person shooter franchise of all-time, gameplay in Modern Warfare 2 follows the same winning and time-tested structure of earlier games in the series. In the single player campaign players are aided by AI squad members as they take on a series of missions aimed at eliminating Ultranationalist forces. Each mission is built around a particular objective, with players utilizing some level of guidance from NPC characters, including “Soap” MacTavish, and aided in navigation by the game’s heads up display (HUD). Along the way players will be able to utilize a wide variety of weaponry and and vehicles, as well as be able to customize weapons with gadgets attached to them.
Also, just as in previous games in the series, Modern Warfare 2 is heavily focused on multiplayer gameplay. The different multiplayer modes, available both in local play and online, contain plenty of customization options and revolve around different strategies ranging from the every man for himself action of “Free-for All,” the classic team-based fun of “Capture the Flag and the tactical, team-oriented action of “Search and Destroy,” just to name a few. Multiplayer modes also feature the “Perk” System that players may be familiar with from earlier in the franchise. Through this system players gain additional abilities, weapons and benefits as they gain experience in combat. This can be done by leveling up, but another important way way is through “kill streaks,” the number of enemies eliminated in succession. These are available beginning with three kills and include the ability to call for supply drops, predator missile strikes, helicopter gunships and many more. Players have the ability to customize in advance which perks will be available at each number and can even gauge their progress towards each at the touch of a button. With an eye towards not making the game too hard for new players the game also features help to players experiencing “death streaks,” multiple consecutive deaths in multiplayer matches.
Special Ops Co-op Mode
Along with a single player mode and multiple multiplayer modes, Modern Warfare 2 also features an unique third main play option, Special Ops Mode. Available both online and in local play, Special Ops Mode is designed to provide a distinct time-based play option, featuring special scenarios not found in other modes in the game and lots of enemies to take on. This mode can be played either alone or with a friend, again either locally or online, with local co-op play including split-screen functionality.
Key Game Features
* Challenging Multiplayer Modes – Modern Warfare 2 will contain a wealth of multiplayer modes including: the every man for himself action of “Free-for All,” the classic team-based fun of “Capture the Flag and the tactical, team-oriented action of “Search and Destroy.”
* Improved AI Enemies – Improved artificial intelligence now allows enemies to attack from virtually any direction as players respawn into the game adding additional challenges.
* An All-new Call of Duty Adventure – Modern Warfare 2 features an all new Call of Duty storyline revolving around the continuing struggles against the Russian rebel group the Ultranationalists, who have found a new and more dangerous leader.
* The ‘Special Ops’ Optional Co-op Mode – “Special Ops” Mode allows two players, either alone or with a friend, to engage in unique mission play and features split-screen functionality.
* Diverse In-game Environments - Battlegrounds traversed in the game range from the lonely, snow-clad mountains of Kazakhstan, to dark tunnels in the Afghanistan and the crowded slums of Rio.
* Nonstop Action – Modern Warfare 2 contains no cutscenes, so players are always engaged in the action, no matter where they are in the game.
* New Breach Gameplay Mechanic – Players can now blaze their own paths through the game by “Breaching” formerly impregnable obstacles like walls and doors with explosives.
* New Gadgets, Weapons and Weapons System – Modern Warfare 2 contains many new and updated weapons, new weapons attachments, as well as a variant of the multiplayer weapons customization system from Call of Duty 4, now available in the single player campaign.
* New Perks and Increased Customization – Multiplayer modes feature new perks for leveling up, and for killstreaks and deathstreaks. Those awarded for streaks can customized in advance according to when they become available.

5 Stars Great shooter game.
Great shooter game. Waiting for more sequel of this type of game. Fun and challenging game.
3 Stars It’s ok i guess, The master levels mostly suck!
Just so that you know, Doom 3 is better, this add-on does not really add anything new besides the super shotgun and the new demon artifact. The biggest gameplay difference between Doom 3 and ROE is the the new demon artifact give you new powers that you can use after each new boss enemy has been slain, those powers include FEAR style slow motion mode, not being able to lose health, and inflicting super high amount of damage. However, the artifact and the other weapons besides the super shotgun are not as useful as in the pc verion. The reason for that is that in the pc version you can switch between weapons without problems and thus you can select “the weapon for any given situation”. But in the Xbox version you have to press a button on the controller over and over to get to the weapon that you want to use, and that takes time so you could as well just use the super shotgun and kill your enemy’s that way instead of wasting time scrolling between weapons. And trust me, this REALLY does make the pc version better! The super shotgun also damages the weapon balance, sine it is more or less the best gun in the game there is no real reason not to use it unless you don’t have any more ammo for it. The levels look more or less the same as those in Doom 3 with a few differences. There are some new enemy’s but they just feel like new version of older Doom 3 enemy’s not counting the final boss. There also aren’t many scary moment’s like there were in Doom 3 and that’s also a very bad thing. Then we have the extras, i bough the Doom 3 collectors edition that came with bonus features that included interviews, concept are, and most importantly the old original Doom games: The Ultimate Doom and Doom 2. The extra features in ROE only includes the Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 plus the Doom 2 master levels, no new interviews or concept arts are included. The Doom 2 master levels were not created by it itself, instead they contain maps that were created by the Doom mapping community and considered good enough by ID to be released as a Id software product, i have only taken a look at about 1/4 of those levels, and thus far…….the more or less SUCK!!!
And since i have been playing fan made Doom/Doom 2 maps for years on the PC i know what a good community made map/level looks like, and the Master levels just don’t add all that much to the Xbox classic Doom experience since they are not good at all, i mean why did they not decide to include Final Doom instead? It’s not as good as the Original Doom but still a billion times better then the Master levels.
Overall, i would say that this is a solid Doom 3 add-on for Doom 3 on the xbox, there is nothing really new here, it’s just more of the same, also the game is very short and can probably be beaten in only one or two sittings. But if you really want more Doom 3 on the Xbox then go ahead and buy this, it’s really cheap these day’s anyways since the game has gotten old, you can probably find it in a bargain bin. Overall, i will give this game 3/5 stars.
4 Stars ONCE MORE INTO THE BREACH
Here we go again, a few years after the events of Doom 3 a signal has been interepted coming from somewhere inside the Mars Research Facility.A team of researchers and marines is sent to investigate and as usual things go south and you find yourself the only one left.At least the flashlight is mounted on your pistol now so you will not be walking around in the dark unarmed anymore.Doom 3 R.O.E. locks in at about 8-10 hours, though only half as long as Doom 3,the inclusion of several new weapons and big ol’ demons will keep you coming back for tons more.So if you’re feeling tired and in need of a vacation, head over to Mars, they promise one heck of a good time.
5 Stars Doomed!!!!
BIG WOW!!!
This game is a blast, it’s fun, plays great and as a bonus, when played on the XBOX 360, it has DOOM, DOOM2 and more.
A very pleasant surprise!
Enjoy.
4 Stars Good Game
If you like DOOM 3, you like this. Its basically more of the same with a couple cool additions and it helps flesh out the storyline from DOOM 3.

2 Stars good game for children younger than 10 or for xbox beginner
If you are a new user for xbox, this game is good for you to exercise how to use the controler precisely and smoothly. And, if you have a boy or girl under 10 years old, this game might be good for them to kill time. But for adult, this game is little bit boring.
Another comment: I believe this game is made by a Japanese company – do the characters in the game speak English? Or, terrible English.
1 Star Buy Fuzion Frenzy 1
The “gameshow host” in this game is possibly the most annoying computer generated character since Jar Jar Binks.
This game is actually pretty fun for about 2 hours.
One good thing about it- you can earn a lot of easy gamerscore points by playing through with each of the different characters. That’s really the only good thing about it.
3 Stars Good Multiplayer Fun
This is one of the best Multiplayer mini games available on the Xbox 360. That’s not saying much though… I rented this game the other day and the single player is disappointing. The best part about this game would have to be the 4 player multiplayer option it has. It’s a fun party game if you have a few friends over. Now that it’s down to $20, it’s not a bad pickup if you’re looking for some fun.
4 Stars Not bad…
Fuzion Freny 2 is a pretty good game…its not going to blow you away with its originality…but its a decent party game to play with your friends and/or family. Most of the games are fun, though a few can be difficult at times. But with around 40 minigames to choose from, you should be having fun with this one for a while!!
2 Stars No better than part 1
I liked FF 1 better. I guess the sequel didn’t outdo it. If you want it, get it used/discounted.

4 Stars Great fun, but not addicting.
I bought this when it was on sale for Black Friday and was more then half off, so I could not pass it up. The game play is fun and the graphics are great! I like the ability to create many different ATV models for each event. Pulling off crazy tricks will require you to get used to the controls, yet once you do you better hold on because you will get crazy air and fly along way! On my 50″ LCD it creates a real sense of height and adrenaline pumping action.
The one thing this game lacks is split screen two player mode. Would be nice to have that feature so my buddies can play along. Live version is fun, when you can find someone to play with that is.
This game is worth $20 if you find it used or on sale, not a $60 game though.
4 Stars SSX mixed with RalliSport Challenge
The best way to describe Pure is to think SSX / RalliSport Challenge. Both of these titles obviously influenced the development and design of this game.
The action of the game is very reminiscent of SSX. You have a boost meter, you perform tricks to increase the boost meter, the higher the meter – the better the tricks, and use the boost during the game to increase your speed in an attempt to land a first place.
Pure also shares the attitude of the SSX franchise. The characters will snipe out snide little remarks as the pass each other such as “See you later” or perhaps an “Excuse me” as they bump past each other. Trendy, young, style, cool are all words that were probably oft repeated during the design phase.
The progress through the levels are more reminiscent of RalliSport Challenge. You have to score a certain amount of points to progress to the next set of races. A first place will net you the most points. A lower rank in an individual race, such as sixth, will still add to your cumulative score, but not nearly as much as the first. This encourages the player to go back and try the earlier races again to improve the overall score in order to unlock the later stages of the game.
There are a few different race types to choose from, but basically the races consists of either getting to the finish line first or scoring the most points doing tricks.
The off road vehicle design section of this game is surprisingly in depth and detailed. There are literally hundreds of different parts and configurations to choose from and earn. As you advance in the game, new parts are unlocked, so tweaking your vehicle to perform is always encouraged. And while amazingly detailed, all the parts basically only modify 5 or 6 different stats in one direction or the other. But the parts the detailed accompanying graphics keeps the game fresh much longer than it otherwise would be.
Overall, Pure is a great game, but there is one serious omission. There is no split-screen racing on the same console! Why, Disney, why?
4 Stars Arcade racing with ATVs
This game surprised me. I didn’t expect it to be instantly fun, but it was. The racing style is SSX like, except better. You perform tricks to gain points while you race. And the tricks are outrageous and cool to perform. If you play with other people, you’ll be screaming, “Ohhhhhhhh!”, when you or others miss the insane tricks.
Another thing that surprised me was the graphics. I haven’t been impressed by graphics for a long time. This game actually got me excited enough to call some of my friends over so that they could check out the graphics. The lighting, detail and environments are great to look at.
Even if you think this isn’t your cup of tea, at least try the demo.
4 Stars we loved this game
we had never really given this type of game a chance before. it was a lot of fun….easy to play yet challenging…easy to just pick up and just go go go. pure fun…pure adrenaline….pure action
absolutely recommend
