5 Stars what a relief!
A few days ago, my pet rats escaped from their cage, unplug my Xbox and chewed through the AC cable. For a moment, I thought all hope was lost – then I realized I could just replace the cable. So, while a lot of you might think this product is pointless or just for moving your console around from room to room without unplugging it from the wall, it actually saved me from going out and buying an entire console. What a relief!
5 Stars Took a worthwhile risk.
Dog chewed power cable to Xbox. I wasn’t really sure that I should try anything that wasn’t from Microsoft or XBox. I took a chance. The company I purchased it from shipped immediately. The kids tried it and it works just fine!
5 Stars I received this item fast!
There is nothing like receiving an item, way before you think you will get it. No problems, works great!
thanks!
5 Stars Cord works perfect, good buy

5 Stars Power Cable For X-box

5 Stars Best system EVER.
I’m 21 and I’m in college. Some of the best parts of my life so far have been hanging out with friends and family playing games. When I was little the Super Nintendo was my favorite, then as I matured PC Games became an addiction. I never bought another console. That is until I played an X-Box at my friends house when I was 15. Now I own one, that I have moded with Linux X-Box Distro so I can play some PC Games on it as well, and an X-Box 360* (which is also moded with Linux X-Box Distro). These are the Nintendo systems of the new millennium. Great games for any kind of player, easy controls, and they’re a blast for multi-player games (which seems like a specialty for X-Box that it does FAR better than the Wii or PS3).
To the previous reviewer that said Microsoft hated its customers I say this:
You bought your X-Box a month before the X-Box 360* was released!? Do you realize that the X-Box has been out since 2001!? Thats six years the system was out when you bought it and you STILL EXPECT M$ to support it!? Are you NUTS!? Did Nintendo, Sony, or SEGA ever support any of their old systems with NEW games when a new system came out? No!!! Neither does MS. A word of advice BUY A SYSTEM WHEN IT IS ***NEW*** IF YOU WANT ***NEW*** GAMES!
5 Stars Reviewing a last-gen console a year+ after the latest came out
First things first, my initial reaction to reviewer jon “Sam” (MI):
“Moron.” Imagine that, a company not supporting an obsolete system over a year after their hardware became obsolete.
Anyway, with that out of the way, the green Halo Edition X-Box is a good investment, providing you don’t care that it’s almost completely obsolete. It’s a good value if all you want to do is play old games. I got mine in Spring ’04 and from the time I got it to the time I got the 360 and sold the old one last week, I had absolutely no problems with it. It still runs great, even after a year in a college townhouse. If you want reliability and don’t mind not having any new games to play, this console can’t be beat.
1 Star Microsoft hates their customers (but loves money).
I bought my original shiny new XBOX and many new games one month after the xbox360 was released. I resisted buying this original XBOX because I just knew microsoft would find a way of taking my money and then screwing me. SURPRISE, they did just that. Only then did I learn that Microsoft would no longer in any way support the original XBOX and after giving to Microsoft my very hard earned dollars for all that stuff, I was now expected to throw it all out and give them more money for an xbox360. Oh, and then they might get around to backward compatability for a few titles at some point. I pray for the day Microsoft goes down in flames and I will NEVER buy an xbox360.

5 Stars Great Item
This is a must with today’s new flat panel TVs. The old cable that came with the XBox made the picture all fuzzy. This new adapter provides a crystal clear picture.
5 Stars Upgrade AV outputs of your Xbox
I bought this primarly for the optical audio output. I’ve set up the XBMC for digital output, now I can stream dolby digital and DTS. No longer need my DVD player. Sound is great compared the the rca output, specially when using DTS. The bonus part is the s-video, although there is not much improvement over rca video cable, the image seams to have more contrast and sharper.
5 Stars a must for digital 5.1
I bought the spherex 5.1 surround for the x box and i found out that you will have to have somekind of an adapter in order for you to connect your x box to the receiver. At first i look around in trhe web . I bumped into “monster cables” but they are too expensive. So i thought, i have no choice but to get it. It would cost me another $ 80 or more. Then i saw this advance av pack. At first i’m not sure if it actually does have an optical out. So i went to my local gamecrazy store and checked it out. It does have an optical out. But you couldn’t actually see it in the pictures. So i bought it. And it’s totally worth it, for under 20 bucks. It’s a bargain. Don’t get the monster cables it’s too pricy. Get this one instead.
4 Stars good product
The only problem I had with this product is that because my reciever only has one optical input and one coaxial input it meant robbing my dedicated dvd player of it’s precious optical input. The xbox sounded very good playing games, but suddenly movies lost their impact. So unfortunatly I disconnected the xbox’s optical output and reconnected it to the dvd player since it plays movies much clearer. The xbox is now connected via standered stereo plugs, on my reciever I merly put the xbox on dolby pro logic and the surround experiance was still very good. For a short while though the sound was very good,if you have a spare optical output this is the goods of xbox. And if some of you are wondering why I didn’t get the high definition pack it’s because my flat screen tv only has one component video reserved for the dvd player.
5 Stars Worth its weight in gold
If you want a digital audio conection with or without the S-video hookup, this is the product to purchase. Don’t worry about the monster cable connections. It really won’t provide you with the sound quality that the offical X-box digital AV pack audio connection would provide. With the Advance AV pack, the optical or coax cable can plug directly into the connector without the purchase of any other equipment. It’s nice and it’s not expensive.
